a. Determine the terminal voltage of the supply under full-load conditions.
b. If the half-load current is 5 A, determine the internal resistance of the supply.
c. Sketch the curve of the terminal voltage versus load demand and the equivalent circuit for the supply.

## Verified Solution

a.   $VR=\frac{V_{NL}-V_{FL}}{V_{FL}}\times 100\%\\[0.5cm] 2\% =\frac{60V-V_{FL}}{V_{FL}} \times 100\%\\[0.5cm] \frac{2\%}{100\%}=\frac{60V-V_{FL}}{V_{FL}}\\[0.5cm] 0.02V_{FL}=60V-V_{FL}\\[0.5cm] 1.02V_{FL}=60V\\[0.5cm] V_{FL}=\frac{60V}{1.02}=58.82V$

b.  $I_{FL}=10A$

$R_{int}=\frac{\Delta V_L}{\Delta I_L}=\frac{60V-58.82V}{10A-0A}=\frac{1.18V}{10A}\cong 0.12\Omega$
