With Formula (36-14), $T=2RC \ln \frac{1+B}{1-B}$

$T=2RC \ln \frac{1+B}{1-B}=2(1 k\Omega )(0.1 \mu F)$

$\ln \frac{1+0.9}{1-0.9}=589 \mu s$

The frequency is

$f=\frac{1}{589 \mu s }=1.7 kHz$
