For this exercise you will need the following components and equipment:
1 – 74LS147 ic (10-line to 4-line priority encoder)
1 – +5 V dc power supply
4 – LED (5 mm) and series resistor (270 Ω)
The pin connection diagram of the 74147 ic is shown in Figure 9.20. Note that the inputs and outputs are active low. In other words, a logic 0 at the input is necessary to activate the corresponding output which will then also be logic 0.
