Consider a speed control motor in Figure 13.66 that has an armature resistance, R_A, of 0.4 Ω and a field resistance, R_F, of 100 Ω. Assume that the motor has an impedance of 80 Ω and the circuit is connected to a voltage source of 20 V. Use PSpice to simulate the induced emf produced by the motor if the variable resistor has a resistance that varies within 5 to 50 Ω.

Following the same setup in Example 13.26, the PSpice schematic is given in Figure 13.67.
Here, RM represents the motor’s impedance, 80 Ω. Then, set up the PARAMETERS part for the circuit in PSpice by following the procedure in Figures 13.60 to 13.62. Next, refer to Figures 13.63 and 13.64. The simulation setup is configured as shown in Figure 13.68.
Then, run the simulation. The output of induced emf is given in Figure 13.69.
