Writing the First Several Terms of a Sequence
Write down the first six terms of the following sequence and graph it.
\left\{b_{n}\right\}\,=\,\left\{(-1)^{n+1}\left({\frac{2}{n}}\right)\right\}The first six terms of the sequence are
b_{1}\,=\,(-1)^{1+1}\!\left({\frac{2}{1}}\right)=2,\quad b_{2}=\,(-1)^{2+1}\!\left({\frac{2}{2}}\right)=\,-1,\quad b_{3}\,=\,(-1)^{3+1}\!\left({\frac{2}{3}}\right)={\frac{2}{3}},b_{4}=-\frac{1}{2},~~b_{5}=\frac{2}{5},~~b_{6}=-\frac{1}{3}
See Figure 5 for the graph.
