\sum Y=0, \qquad R_{A}+R_{B}=16 \times 2( kN / m \times m )

= 32 KN                                                                                     ….. (1)

Note:
(i) U.D.L. of 16 kN/m acts at mid of its length and load is given by multiplying its intensity to the length it is spread or covered.
(ii) In ΣX or ΣY equations, couple never affects.

\sum M_{A}=0, \qquad R_{B} \times 6=10+(16 \times 2) \times 1=42

R_{B} =7  KN

Substituting in equation (1),

R_{A} =32 – R_{B} = 32 – 7

R_{A} =25  KN
