Shear force
Between A and B the shear force is constant and equal to -60 kN. Between B and C the shear force is equal to -60 + 50= -10 kN and between C and D the shear force is equal to +140 kN; the complete distribution is shown in Fig. S.3.17(b).
Bending moment
The bending moment at the supports is zero. At B the bending moment is equal to +60×8=480 kNm while at C the bending moment is +140×4=560 kNm; the distribution is shown in Fig. S.3.17(c).
