Given that
$I_{DSS}=20mA$
and$V_P=-8V;$$g_{mo}=5000\mu mhos$
$V_{GS}=-4V$
we know that
$I_D=I_{DSS} (1-\frac{V_{GS}}{V_P})^2$
$=20(1-\frac{(-4)}{(-8)})^2=5mA$
