Plot the three stresses on a straight line C^{\prime}O^{\prime}B^{\prime}A as shown in Fig. 2.19. Draw perpendicular lines C^{\prime} C, B^{\prime}B, A^{\prime}A. Take any point B^{\prime\prime} on B^{\prime}B , and draw B^{\prime\prime}A at 30° clockwise to B^{\prime} B since plane A is at 30° clockwise to plane B in Fig. 2.19. Similarly draw B^{\prime\prime} C at 30° anticlockwise to B^{\prime}B as plane C is at 30° to plane B. The perpendicular bisector of B^{\prime\prime} C and B^{\prime\prime} A intersects at D. With D as center, draw the required Mohr’s circle through points A and C and intersecting B^{\prime\prime} at B. The principal stresses can be read at the diameter parallel to the line C^{\prime}O^{\prime}B^{\prime}A^{\prime}.
